5 months ago I would have never imagined myself being such a huge fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and John Frusciante. I fucking love Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californiacation, and Stadium Arcadium. All of those albums are just perfect. Their live shows are just a thrill to watch as well. Especially Slane Castle, Fuji Rock ‘06, and Cigale. Those are all just incredible concerts with the band being in top form. As a fan of live concert bootlegs and such I believe that RHCP are a band that every band should strive to be as good as when playing live (okay, maybe they should strive to being more like Pearl Jam but RHCP comes close). And oh man, don’t get me started on John Frusciante. He’s the man that really got me into the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I saw a video of Don’t Forget Me live from Cigale and that solo absolutely blew me away. I wanted to hear more and so I did. Eventually, I ran into his solo stuff and I got hooked to songs such as “Heaven”, “A Corner”, and “The Will to Death.” Simply put, John Frusciante is one of the most talented musicians ever and he also has an incredible story. My favorite RHCP songs now are “Sexy Mexican Maid”, “Turn It Again”, “Hey”, “I Could Have Lied”, and “Savior.”
